On March 3-4, 2021, Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) and Mexico’s Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT) hosted “The CPTPP Workshop on Combating Illegal Trade of Wildlife Species: Illegal Trade of Turtles and Tortoises.”.

The Workshop aimed to improve the capacity of border control agencies, the scientific research community, diplomats and experts on international issues from CPTPP member countries.

Based on the discussion results from the Workshop, Canada and Mexico have circulated the " The CPTPP Workshop Report on Combating Illegal Wildlife Trade".
