Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh arrives in Vientiane, Laos, to attend the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits from October 8 to 11.
The plane carrying the Prime Minister arrives at Wattay Airport, Vientiane at 10:45. Accompanying the Prime Minister are Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung; Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy and many other leaders of ministries and sectors.
The 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits and related Summits in Vientiane, Laos, with the theme of ASEAN: Promoting Connectivity and Resilience, will have 20 activities. This is the most important series of high-level activities of ASEAN in the year, with the participation of leaders of ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste and 10 ASEAN partners, along with many guests who are representatives of international and regional organizations.

Deputy Foreign Minister Do Hung Viet said that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will "convey many important messages about ASEAN and the future of ASEAN". Promoting cooperation in potential areas such as green - digital - sustainable trends will be the top priority at the conferences.
According to Mr. Viet, Vietnam's participation and contribution to ASEAN is "proactive implementation, substantive participation and sincere contribution". Vietnam has worked with other countries to strengthen ASEAN's solidarity and unity in the current context of rapid and complex changes, acting as a bridge to "reconcile differences and harmonize interests" among countries.
