A dossier on quarantine registration is made under the Form No.19 of Appendix V issued with the Circular 25/2016/TT-BNNPTNT; for meat and bone meal, use the Form No.20 of Appendix V issued with this Circular

For animals and animal products subject to the management of other relevant competent state agencies, documents or permits must be submitted as prescribed.

For animals and animal products imported for processing or export, a certificate of veterinary hygiene conditions must be obtained.

Step 1

The importer sends 01 set of registration dossiers for quarantine before importing animals

Step 2

The Department of Animal Health shall issue a written agreement to quarantine imported animals and animal products and guide relevant organizations and individuals to carry out quarantine of imported animals and animal products; In case of disagreement, must reply in writing and clearly state the reason within 5 working days after receiving the sufficient dossier.

Step 3

Upon the receipt of the written approval and instructions for quarantine from the Department of Animal Health, before the shipment arrives at the checkpoint of import, the goods owner shall submit a set of quarantine declaration documents to the animal quarantine authority at the checkpoint of import

Step 4

The animal quarantine authority at the checkpoint shall carry out quarantine as prescribed in point 3 Article 46 under Law of Animal Health
