In light of the increasingly volatile global trade landscape, marked by the imposition of unpredictable tariff measures, particularly by major economies such as the United States, the ASEAN Secretariat sees this as a timely opportunity to promote the ASEAN Tariff Finder as a key platform for navigating trade-related information amid ongoing uncertainty.
The webinar is expected to be attended by Mr Satvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN Economic Community Department, ASEAN Secretariat, experts from the ASEAN Secretariat, Mendel Verlag GmbH & Co. KG, and speakers from the U.S. and Indonesia. The programme includes presentations on Recent Developments in U.S. Tariff Policy (Reciprocal tariff policy, Implication for ASEAN exporters, Navigating tariff uncertainties), overview of ASEAN Tariff Finder as a strategic tool to access up-to-date tariff and trade intelligence (key features, how to search tariff rates, ROO, and other trade-related information, how to use platform for strategic planning); experience from Indonesia; Survey Assessment on ASEAN Tariff Finder Utilisation.
The webinar link will be shared directly to the registered participants in due course. Therefore, participants are kindly requested to complete the registration form at https://forms.office.com/r/jMRKf7zjTj by 11 August 2025.
The ASEAN Tariff Finder was launched during the 55th ASEAN Economic Ministers' Meeting (AEM) and related meetings, held from August 17 to 22, 2023, in Semarang, Indonesia. The ASEAN Tariff Finder is an online information portal providing information on customs duties, taxes, additional taxes, rules of origin, and import regulations of more than 160 countries worldwide. Since the launch of the ASEAN Tariff Finder, the Multilateral Trade Policy Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam) has conducted presentations at dissemination seminars for businesses to introduce this portal.
