Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong witnessed the signing of seven cooperation documents in Ha Noi on August 28. The signing took place following the summit meeting between the two Prime Ministers.
These documents are expected to forge a legal foundation for the two countries to advance the bilateral ties in a practical and effective manner in the coming time.
Specifically, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son and his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan inked a document on a research program for senior Vietnamese officials for 2024-2026.
Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry signed a memorandum of understanding on exchange of innovation talent.
Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son and Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing inked a memorandum of understanding on education cooperation.
Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung and Minister Tan See Leng signed a memorandum of understanding on skills development for workers.
Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dang Quoc Khanh and Minister Tan See Leng signed a letter of intent between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Viet nam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Singapore on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Understanding under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
The two sides also signed a memorandum of understanding on promoting sustainable infrastructure development in Ho Chi Minh City between the Ho Chi Minh City administration and Singapore’s Infrastructure Asia.
