On the occasion of President Vo Van Thuong's official visit to the Republic of Austria, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son met with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg.
Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg expressed his pleasure to meet Minister Bui Thanh Son again and said that his visit to Vietnam in April with a large Austrian business delegation was successful.
The two Ministers assessed that the two sides have coordinated very closely and effectively to prepare for the official visit of President Vo Van Thuong and the Vietnamese high-level delegation.
The two Ministers said that the signing of the cooperation document in the presence of the Heads of State of the two countries has laid the foundation for closer and more effective cooperation between the two Foreign Ministries, contributing to the increasingly strong development of relations between the two countries.
The two Ministers agreed that the two sides continue to coordinate to promote exchange of delegations at all levels, promote cooperation in vocational training, culture, arts and cooperation in new fields such as green transformation and digital transformation.
At the meeting, the Austrian Foreign Minister said that the Austrian side will soon ratify the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement, contributing to promoting economic and investment relations between the two sides.
