Resolution No. 102/2020/QH14 regarding ratification of EVFTA

XIVth National Assembly passes the Resolution No. 102/2020/QH14 regarding notification of the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) in its 9th meeting session.

The Resolution allows all inclusions of EVFTA to take effect, including:

- Directly applying EVFTA’s regulations prescribed in Appendix 2 to this Resolution;

- Applying EVFTA’s regulations specified in Appendix 3 to this Resolution till the entry into force of the Law on Intellectual Property No. 50/2005/QH11 amended and supplemented according to the Law No. 36/2009/QH12, and the amended Law No. 42/2019/QH14; 

- Applying EVFTA's clauses to the United Kingdom within the period from the effective date of EVFTA to end of December 31, 2020.

(May be extended to 24 months according to the Exit Agreement between the United Kingdom and the European Union).
